It is with heavy heart and deep humility that I swallow my pride and accept President Elect Obama's invitation to attend the inauguration on the 20th. of this month.
As you know, we put up a valiant fight and the final result showed we came in second and a half. It should be remembered that the other candidates spent millions during their lengthy campain. We spent nothing, zero!!!!!!
The bottom line is we didn't lose the election, the Lobbyists won it. They feared our outlawing them when we moved into the Whitehouse, and they are right. There should be no outside influence when it comes to running a government.
Nevertheless, the election is over, the people have spoken and I will support our President in all his attempts to keep the sinking ship afloat, as I know all you will do. He has a massive task before him and we wish him Godspeed in reversing the recession before it becomes a depression.
If you are watching T.V., I will somehow get close to the TV Cameras and wave- I hope you will all wave back.
This will be my final communique until the next election. Please hold on to your campaign badges, bumper stickers, license plate frames because, we shall return.
